<p>Andy Cook - Artist, English colourist, Landscape Painter Andy Cook is a European
Colourist Landscape Artist, specialising in romantic landscapes painted in oil and
acrylic Contemporary abstract figurative and expressionist artist. Commission paintings undertaken.<br>

<p>To describe Andy Cook purely as a landscape painter in my mind falls somewhat short
of true description. Though indeed, on first impression that seems to be the most
obvious and logical category to place him in. <br>
<br></p>
<p>But after careful study, observing his confident and sometimes bold use of colour,
I have noticed a distinct and refreshing quality that is often very difficult to find
in today's contemporary 'self-expressionist' style of painting.<br>
<br></p>
<p>His paintings have a celestial quality about them, sometimes 'spiritual' and often
religious. He understands the power and influence of the Sun, the Moon and the stars
on the world around us. His paintings are about space and light - an earthly light
but with more than a hint of the extra-terrestrial.
